Mood: Pleasantly chilled!
30th April 2006

Wind Direction: S
Wind Stength: 10 to 15mph
Surf / Sea State: Flat
Air Temperature: Cool
Sea Temperature: Cool
Weather: Sunny then dull
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Started off with some light wind freestyle, as the weather was nice and sunny and warm. Not much wind though, only around 8 - 10 mph which made staying upwind against the tide tricky. Once the tide turned, the wind did start to build slightly, but not much, and the weather got colder. Couldn't get planing on the Syncro until just before packing up, at which time the tide was ripping out. Had a shotty of Jim's Xantos 310 with 8.0m T'bird and got planing for a few runs which was good. As usual, the wind picked up as we had to pack up due to the outgoing tide. Better than nothing though. Apparently I "should have been there yesterday" as it was perfect big kit cruising weather - unfortunately I was working near Elgin. This does mean I will be able to take a halfday this week, with tuesday looking most promising for wind / tide.
